Created by artist Jake Parker to celebrate using ink as a visual medium, I dedicated my first Inktober to 31 of my favorite villains and villainesses of toys, comics, and movies!

Inktober Bear 2016

October? You mean Inktober! Inktober is an annual art movement that challenges artists to create "ink only" art pieces for every day of October. And to celebrate the month of Halloween and all things dark and spooky, I portrayed 31 days of my favorite villains and villainesses!

Inktober - Day 1 - Skeletor

"Inktober of Evil" Day One - Had to kick off my season of villainy with Skeletor, the bane of Eternia! This version of old Bone Face is an homage to Alfredo Alcala's version - hadn't ever done him like this before!

Inktober - Day 2 - Evil-Lyn

"Inktober of Evil" Day Two - Where would Skeletor be without his better half, the powerful warrior goddess Evil-Lyn! She might always have his back, but that's only so she can sink a dagger into it!

Inktober - Day 3 - Maleficent

"Inktober of Evil" Day Three - My month of villainy continues with a detour into the world of some classic Disney villains - beginning with the top of the food chain, the all-powerful sorceress Maleficent!

Inktober - Day 4 - Oogie Boogie

"Inktober of Evil" Day Four - "I am the shadow on the moon at night, filling your dreams to the brim with fright!" Where would an October of villains be without the sinister Oogie Boogie?

Inktober - Day 5 - Captain Hook

"Inktober of Evil" Day Five - Another classic Disney villain, the nefarious Captain Hook, sails the Jolly Roger deep into my month long celebration of the best of the worst!

Inktober - Day 6 - Ursula

"Inktober of Evil" Day Six - "Those poor unfortunate souls!" One of my personal Disney favorites, the sea witch Ursula rises from the inky black depths to claim her revenge on King Triton's kingdom!

Inktober - Day 7 - Lotso

"Inktober of Evil" Day Seven - Closing out my batch of favorite Disney villains for the month, it's Lotso from Toy Story 3! Who knew evil smelled just like strawberries? Absolutely love this character - such a tragic backstory!

Inktober - Day 8 - Shredder

"Inktober of Evil" Day Eight - "Tonight I dine on Turtle Soup!" Slicing his way into Inktober is Oroku Saki - the Shredder! Today starts a celebration of one of my greatest obsessions - 80's toy line villains!
