Original Pencils - MOIE "Bee-Mon"
Next up in my Master on Infinite Earths concept art original pencils, its Zztrigan - the Bee-Mon! I had a lot of people requesting/assuming that Masters of the Universe's resident insect warrior, Buzz-Off, would be combined with the newer Blue Beetle, but I had a lot of issues going that direction. While Beetle would have been a good visual match, I just didn't see the newer Blue Beetle as the upper tier hero that would be a "Master", and when reviewing the costumes, they would mesh too well - effectively just being a blue Buzz-Off. So, I ended up going a more challenging route, taking the Demon Etrigan instead. I really liked that his overall look would mesh well with Buzz-Off - transforming the wings into flames, making Buzz's classic helmet into the Demon's traditional look, and the coloring of yellows, browns, and reds. Hopefully it works for you as well! Plus, that ridiculous name - it's so fun and dumb!
